SCRAPPAGE INCENTIVE AT KEN BROWN MOTORS

 

Do you own a car that was registered before 29TH FERUARY 2000

 

Under the new government and dealer/manufacturers funded scrappage scheme your old car will be worth at least £2000 when traded in against a New Kia

This scheme  started May 18th2009. As a Kia dealer we will be responsible for administering this scheme and we will try to make it as easy as possible for you to take advantage of this fantastic incentive. 

 

In summary the scheme offers customers who scrap a vehicle that is more than 10 years old a minimum of £2,000 off the OTR list price of a new vehicle.  This consists of a £1,000 grant from the Government and a minimum of £1,000 from Ken Brown Motors (Harlow) with some support from Kia Motors the manufacturer. 

 

All new Kia models and derivatives will be eligible for this programme, and we can offer highly attractive prices to scrappage customers including:

 

  • Kia Picanto from just £4,495
  • Kia Rio from just £5,495
  • Kia cee’d from just £7,995, including an industry leading 7 year warranty 

           Kia Soul from just £8,775

  • Kia Sorento Automatic Diesels  from £15,295

This scheme is scheduled to last until 1ST March 2010, although government funding is limited to £400 million, or 400,000 new cars (when the fund is used up the scrappage scheme will finish). The following straightforward conditions apply for customers who wish to take advantage of this scheme.

 

 For your vehicle to be eligible for this scheme the following conditions apply: - ( all  documents required  MUST BE copied by us to order a Scrappage vehicle .)

 

  • Is a passenger car which as first registered in United Kingdom on or before 29th February 2000
  • A light commercial vehicle or van up to 3500 kg registered in the UK on or before 28th February 2002
  • The scrappage vehicle must be taxed (at the time of order)
  • Is currently registered with DVLA (V5C Required) to the registered keeper making the application, (if your car has been notified Statutory Off Road Notification (SORN) it is Not Applicable for the scrappage allowances .
  • Has a current MOT test certificate/ and be insured(certificate req)
  • Purchasers  identification e.g. Photo ID –Passport/Driving Licence

 

The customer (registered keeper) must have

 

  • Have been the registered keeper of the vehicle continuously for the preceding 12 calendar months before the registration date of the new vehicle.
  •   A  UK address
