HATTRICK OF WINS FOR KIA AT FLEET WORLD AWARDS 2023
Kia UK Limited has won awards for three of its cars at the Fleet World Great British Fleet Awards 2023. The fifth-generation Sportage, all-new Niro and all-new Niro EV each won their respective categories at the black-tie event, held at the Marshall Arena in Milton Keynes.
Retaining its win from last year, the Sportage was once again named the ‘Best Fleet Medium SUV’, beating the competition in this highly fought segment. The latest Sportage is available with efficient hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrains, as well as a host of generously equipped trim grades.
John Challen, Editor of Fleet World, commented: “In a congested and competitive segment, the Sportage stands out as a fantastic all-rounder. The upgraded interior makes the cabin even more user-friendly, while the addition of hybrid technology puts it firmly on the list of cars that fleets will be considering now and in the future.”
Electrified as standard, the all-new Niro won ‘Best Fleet Small SUV’. The Niro is available as a hybrid, plug-in hybrid or EV, benefiting fleets with a compelling blend of efficient powertrains, practicality and generous equipment levels across the three available grades.
Challen added: “The revised version of the popular SUV that was introduced last year has been praised far and wide for its breadth of powertrain options. Whether it’s hybrid, plug-in hybrid or full EV, Kia really does have something for everyone.”
Further to the Niro win and taking over the mantle from the e-Niro that won in the 2022 awards, the all-new Niro EV won ‘Best EV Small SUV’. The all-new model features a striking new look over its predecessor, while delivering up to 285-miles of range from a single charge of its 64.8kWh battery.
Challen said: “The e-Niro was an impressive product in a relatively small sector, but its replacement raises the bar in terms of driving range, interior comfort and onboard technologies and safety systems. A fantastic addition to Kia’s evolving – and improving – product line-up.”
John Hargreaves, General Manager of Fleet and Remarketing at Kia UK, said: “It’s fantastic to see three of our products win these important fleet awards. Fleet sales play an important role at Kia and helped us achieve the best-ever results last year with over 100,000 sales for the first time.
“We’re thrilled that the Fleet World awards judges agree the Sportage, Niro and Niro EV offer great fleet appeal thanks to their efficiency, versatility, practicality and availability.”
In addition to its award-winning model line-up, Kia delivers peace of mind to fleet and business customers with the Business Service Promise. This includes a national hourly labour rate of £49+VAT, fixed price repairs, reduced cost MOTs at £35 and much more. To find out more visit: https://www.kia.com/uk/business/service-promise/
