Equipped with an innovative 800V battery system for some of the fastest charging times possible today, it is also compatible for 400V charging and AC charging.
Powering up – The speed of 800V Charging Technology
IONIQ 6 feature 800V charging technology rather than the traditional 400V technology found on most EVs today.
The higher voltage is designed to enable charging at lower current, which reduces resistance, energy loss and heat build-up. This supports charging performance and can help reduced charging times, particularly when using a 350kW charger.Learn more about charging

IONIQ 6 has picked up another top honour, this time from the experts at Autocar Business, who have named it as their "Best Company Car" for 2023. The judges said “The IONIQ 6 is quite a statement."
The IONIQ 6 emerged triumphant ahead of a number of contenders from established premium manufacturers in the ‘Best Company Car’ category, with Autocar’s panel of expert judges particularly impressed by the Hyundai’s bold design and advanced electric powertrain.
"It’s unsurprising that Hyundai’s second flagship EV, the IONIQ 6, makes an instant impression with its looks. Hyundai’s styling has become among the most innovative on the market and it has really pushed the envelope with its EVs.
